We are kindly inviting you to submit an abstract to the stream Lot
Sizing, Lot Scheduling and Production Planning organized by the EURO
Working Group on Lot Sizing (EWG LOT) at the
31th European Conference on Operational Research (EURO XXXI), July
11-14, 2021, Athens, Greece <https://euro2021athens.com/>
Note that the conference will take place in a hybrid format, where
sessions will be on-line or on-site (with online streaming). At the time
of registration, you need to decide in which form you will attend, but
you may be contacted earlier by the stream organizers about your
expected form. For now, one only needs to submit a short abstract, while
participation fees can be paid later. Please forward this e-mail to
anyone interested.
**********************************************************************
In order to submit an abstract, please go to
https://www.euro-online.org/conf/euro31/
and use the session code: 86621dc7
Abstracts: max. 1500 characters
Submission deadline: March 28, 2021
**********************************************************************
If you are interested in organizing a special session (consisting of at
least 4 presentations) within this lot-sizing stream, please contact one
of the stream organizers (Nabil Absi, absi@emse.fr; Safia Kedad-Sidhoum,
safia.kedad_sidhoum@cnam.fr; Wilco van den Heuvel,
wvandenheuvel@ese.eur.nl).
Within this stream we seek contributions to cover recent advances in
lot-sizing on the following topics among others:
  * Applications of lot sizing in real world cases including
    implementation of case-studies discussing organizational challenges
    and data issues;
  * Lot sizing for smart factories;
  * Lot sizing for energy management;
  * Integration of lot-sizing with other problems, such as: scheduling,
    distribution and vehicle routing, procurement, and cutting and packing;
  * Extensions of lot sizing models, including (but are not limited
    to):  non-triangular setups, period-overlapping setups,
  * Multiple resource types, blocking, synchronization, multi-level and
    multi-machine systems, perishable goods, green lot sizing;
  * Solution methods for lot-sizing problems: exact methods, heuristics,
    metaheuristics, or hybrid approaches;
  * Replanning and rescheduling, especially in the context of stochastic
    production environments.
  * Stochastic lot-sizing problems
Further detailed information about the conference can be found in the
EURO website.
