[DMANET] PhD position in Bonn

The Research Institute for Discrete Mathematics at the University of Bonn (Germany) invites applications for a

PhD student position (research assistant, full time TVL-13).

The institute conducts large-scale industry projects in the areas of chip design and vehicle routing.
In this context, the work will comprise theoretical foundations as well as practical work in implementing algorithms and analyzing real-world instances.
Therefore, besides a master's degree in mathematics or computer science (to be completed by summer 2026), a solid background in discrete algorithms as well as programming skills (preferably in C++) is required.
For more information on the research activities at the institute, see: https://www.or.uni-bonn.de/research/research.eng.html

Applications can be sent by e-mail to dm@or.uni-bonn.de any time; applications received by February 23, 2026 will receive full consideration.
