Optimization group (

of the Applied Mathematics department (DIAM) at TU Delft. The intended
starting date is September 2026.
The PhD will be supervised by Anurag Bishnoi and it is a part of the NWO
Vidi project ``Extremal Problems in Finite Geometry". There is also a
two-year postdoc position under the same project.
You should hold a master's degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics or
Computer Science, with a solid foundation in Combinatorics, especially
algebraic and probabilistic methods. Some familiarity with Finite Geometry
will be advantageous, but it is not necessary.
