*Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Computational Mathematics (Mathematics of Computer Science)* The Department of Mathematics at SUNY Geneseo invites applications for a tenure-track *Assistant Professor in Computational Mathematics, with emphasis on the Mathematics of Computer Science*, beginning August 2027. We seek candidates working at the intersection of mathematics and computer science, with a strong mathematical perspective on computation. Relevant areas may include algorithms, applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, computability, computational complexity, computational mathematics, computer systems, discrete mathematics, machine learning, mathematical modeling, numerical methods, operations research, programming, software engineering, symbolic computation, or closely related fields. Applicants must have a Ph.D. by August 2027 in computational mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field, such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science, or scientific computing, with relevant preparation or experience in computer science or computation. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate teaching across the Mathematics and Mathematics of Computer Science curricula, maintain an active program of scholarship, and play a central role in helping the department develop its existing Mathematics of Computer Science minor toward a full undergraduate major. There will also be opportunities to develop new courses in the candidate's areas of expertise and to involve undergraduate students in research and other scholarly activities.
