[DMANET] AIROYoung for ODS 2021: Third Call for Presentations for our special sessions

Are you attending the ODS 2021 conference? If so, join us in one of our special sessions!

As AIROYoung (the young chapter of AIRO, the Italian Operational Research Association - https://www.airoyoung.org<https://www.airoyoung.org/>), we are organizing two special sessions at ODS 2021 with the aims of getting to know each other, sharing our research projects, expanding our contacts and knowledge while networking.
Details below!

1) The first session aims at the promotion and divulgation of Operational Research, scheduled Wednesday the 15th of September, 2021, in the late afternoon.
- Each participant will have a five-minute slot to present their work in a clear and understandable way, even for people unfamiliar with the subject. The topic of each pitch talk can be both practical and theoretical, with references to applications.
- Everyone, from young researchers to ordinary professors and practitioners, can participate and contribute.
- At the end of the session, a brief refreshment will be offered to those who would have contributed.

2) The second session has the goal to build a bridge between last-year PhD candidates, firms and practitioners. In this special session, PhD students will have the opportunity to present their research work in front of an audience mainly composed of firms and representatives of the industry.
- Each participant will have a 20-minute slot to present their PhD thesis.
- The last 20 minutes of the session will be available in order to facilitate discussions among the participants and the audience.
- All the PhD students that submitted or will submit their PhD thesis between the 1st of August 2020 and the 31st of July 2021 are eligible to participate, by submitting their application at the following link: https://forms.gle/ADWm9JiHV8S3nixe6

Notes:
- The participation in the above sessions does not prevent participation in other sessions at ODS. That is, one can present their work at a regular session at ODS, AND participate in one or both our special sessions too.
- The registration at one of our special sessions does not imply the registration to the ODS 2021 conference. In order to attend, one still needs to register at the ODS 2021 conference by following the instructions at the following link: http://www.airoconference.it/ods2021/conference-registration. Please notice that it is now possible to register for online participation only.
