theory are available at RWTH Aachen University.
We are building up a new group working on fundamental questions of
algorithm design, with applications in game theory, distributed systems,
machine learning, and optimization under uncertainty. Successful
applicants will join a dynamic and inclusive team within the excellent
research environment at RWTH Aachen University.
All positions are full time (100%, German TV-L E13 level), initially for
2 years, with the possibility of extension. The start date is flexible
within the second half of 2024.
Prerequisites for PhD [PostDoc] positions are a MSc [PhD] degree
(completed or nearly finished) in Computer Science, Mathematics,
Economics, or any other relevant area. Applicants should have a
theoretical/mathematical background and enthusiasm for analyzing
algorithmic and mathematical problems.
Application documents should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae,
certificates/transcripts, and names and contact details of two
references (preferably one from your thesis advisor). These documents
