Research on quantum technologies is set to revolutionize several aspects of
our life, including how we process information. In the Department of
Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology
(TU/e), the Netherlands, there is a vacancy for a 2 year postdoctoral
position on the topics of quantum error correction, quantum graph theory,
and quantum information theory. The vacancy will remain open until the
position is filled.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This postdoc position is jointly supervised by Alberto Ravagnani (
https://a.ravagnani.win.tue.nl) and Aida Abiad (https://aidaabiad.win.tue.nl)
and it is funded by the Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir Institute for quantum
technologies. The position is hosted by the Mathematical Communication
Theory group (https://mct.win.tue.nl). You will have the opportunity to
contribute to and shape research directions at the crossroad of quantum
information theory, quantum graph theory, and quantum error correction. You
will bridge the Algebraic Combinatorics (
https://www.tue.nl/en/research/research-groups/algebraic-combinatorics) and
the Mathematical Communication Theory groups (
https://www.tue.nl/en/research/research-groups/mathematics/discrete-mathematics/mathematical-communication-theory),
establishing and leading new interdisciplinary collaborations. You will
bridge the Mathematical Communication Theory group and the Eindhoven
Hendrik Casimir Institute.
