Dear colleagues,
The Discrete Mathematics team of ULiège's Department of Mathematics (Belgium) is opening a PhD and a postdoc positions on interactions between combinatorics on words, numeration systems, number theory, and automata and formal language theory. Both positions are part of an FNRS (https://www.frs-fnrs.be/en/) MIS project entitled "An in-depth study of regular sequences as a (discrete) bridge between combinatorics on words and abstract numeration systems" under my supervision.
- The PhD position tentatively starts in October 2025 and lasts 4 years (the starting date is somewhat negotiable). Here's the online offer: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/307621
- The postdoctoral position has a flexible starting date, but preferably in October 2025, and the intended duration is 1 to 3 years (subject to negotiation). Here's the online offer: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/307628
For information about the procedure, requirements, conditions, etc., please contact me by email (m.stipulanti@uliege.be<mailto:m.stipulanti@uliege.be>).
