A 2-year postdoc position and a 3-year PhD studentship are available at the University of Essex<https://www.essex.ac.uk/>. The applicants will work in areas related to Algorithmic Game Theory and Fair Division with applications in Blockchain. The research will be integral to the EPSRC project "Blockchain incentives: consensus and fairness", aimed at providing a systematic analysis of blockchain protocols with respect to the strategic behaviour of the stakeholders and related fairness properties.
The successful applicants will work closely with Dr Maria Kyropoulou<https://www.essex.ac.uk/people/KYROP21400/Maria-Kyropoulou> and will be a part of the Centre for Computational Finance and Economic Agents<https://www.essex.ac.uk/centres-and-institutes/computational-finance-and-economic-agents>. In the context of the project the applicants will also collaborate with other AGT, Fair Division and Blockchain experts supporting the project, e.g. https://iohk.io/.
