[DMANET] Job Offer »Scientific Researcher - Algorithms for Combinatorial Optimization Problems« at Fraunhofer ITWM

The Optimization Department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) in Kaiserslautern is looking for talented scientific researchers who are passionate about COMBINATORIAL OPTIMIZATION and have a strong interest in APPLIED MATHEMATICS.

Join us to design and deploy cutting-edge optimization algorithms that tackle REAL-WORLD PLANNING CHALLENGES-from warehouse scheduling and energy management to supply chain efficiency-making visible impact in industry and society while shaping the future of production.

Candidates are required to have completed at least their Master's degree in (business) mathematics or (theoretical) computer science with a background in combinatorial optimization and/or theory of algorithms.
Ideally, the candidate is also interested in data science and has already gained some experience in programming.
Candidates are expected to have at least upper intermediate (B2) language proficiency in German and advanced (C1) language proficiency in English in order to communicate with our customers and colleagues.
