The Industry Session track is intended to specially highlight system
experiences and proofs-of-concept in the areas above. Like regular
papers, the Industry Session papers will undergo a review process by an
international TPC and will appear in the conference proceedings.

However, the selection criteria for Industry Session papers are slightly
different. In particular, papers should describe applications, prototypes
or experiences of clear industry relevance. Papers with narrow
algorithmic focus or only high-level design details are discouraged. A
key goal of this session is to present systems-oriented research that
exposes the academic and research communities to real-life issues and
problems being faced in industry. Accordingly, papers will be evaluated,
less on the novelty of specific algorithmic content, but by the
originality and general applicability of insights that can be inferred
from the authors' implementation experience.

The IFORS Conference in Melbourne promises to be an exciting meeting with a

We are organising an invited stream on Vehicle Routing.
This includes all aspects of the topic including:

* inventory routing
* VRP for humanitarian needs (or organizations)
* "Rich" VRP's (i.e. Real-world routing, with real-world constraints)

science. It solves problems dealing with symbolic objects that are
representable on a computer.

RISC, the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation of the Johannes

The ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedicine
(ACM BCB) is the main conference of the newly formed ACM SIG Bioinformatics.

This is the second year of the ACM BCB Conference. Over 200 people attended

[DMANET] Position: FACULTY MEMBERS (Computation)

The Singapore University of Technology and Design seeks an outstanding individual for a tenure-track or tenured position in the area of Computational Engineering. SUTD, the first university in the world with a focus on design accomplished through an integrated multi-disciplinary curriculum, has a mission to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs. SUTD is characterised by a breadth of intellectual perspectives (the'university'), a focus on engineering foundations ('technology') and an emphasis on innovation and creativity ('design'). The University's programmes are based on four pillars leading to separate degree programmes in Architecture and Sustainable Design, Engineering Product Development, Engineering Systems and Design, and Information Systems Technology and Design. Design, as an academic discipline, cuts across the curriculum and will be the framework for novel research and educational programmes. MIT's multi-!
faceted collaboration with SUTD includes the development of new courses and curricula, assistance with the early deployment of courses in Singapore, assistance with faculty and student recruiting, mentoring, and career development, and collaborating on a major joint research projects, through a major new international design centre and student exchanges. Many of the newly hired SUTD faculty will spend up to a year at MIT in a specially tailored programme for collaboration and professional development.

FACULTY MEMBERS (Computation)

Applicants must have earned a doctorate by the beginning of the appointment period in an appropriate field of engineering or mathematics or a related field; must have demonstrated the ability to carry out outstanding research; and must have shown strong promise for exceptional teaching.

All areas of computational engineering are of interest. Emphasis is on the development of new computational methodology with strong demonstrated relevance to important engineering disciplines and problems. Topics of interest include but are not limited to Ordinary Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Numerical Linear Algebra, Optimization, and Statistics.

Computer Communications (Elsevier) Call for Papers
Special Issue on Wireless Sensor and Robot Networks: Algorithms and Experiments

SCOPE
Wireless sensor and robot networks (WSRN) are the confluence point where the
two traditional fields of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and robot networks
meet, and nodes collaborate to accomplish distributed sensing and actuation
tasks. Leveraged by the control and mobility of robots, the networking process
and applications embrace a whole new set of possibilities. The objective of
this special issue is to bring together state-of-the-art contributions on the
design, specification, and implementation of architectures, algorithms and
protocols for current and future applications of WSRN. Original, unpublished
contributions are solicited in ALL aspects of WSRN and traditional WSN, robot
networks, as well as robotics and automation. Possible topics of interest include,
but are certainly not limited to the following:

The conference is dedicated to memory of
professor Valerian P. Bulatov

The 15th Baikal International School-Seminar on OPTIMIZATION METHODS AND
THEIR APPLICATIONS will be held during June 23-29 2011, near Irkutsk, on
the lake Baikal shore, in village Listvyanka, Russia.

The conference is organized once in three years. In this year it is
organized by Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory (ISDCT) of
Siberian Branch (SB) of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) (www.idstu.irk.ru)
jonly with Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of RAS, Institute of Energy Systems of
SB RAS, Institute of Control Science of RAS, Russian Association of
Mathematical Programming, Irkutsk State University, Irkutsk State
Agricultural Academy.

The conference is a forum of researchers working on all aspects of
optimization from the linear programming to the optimal control. As well as
in the previous years, it collects main specialists in this field from Russia
with international participation. We believe that the program will be also
interesting for practitioners who want to increase the efficiency of their
business with applications of optimization models.

The organizers are looking forward to see you in Irkutsk - the center of the
Eastern Siberia - with its beautiful nature and with admirable lake and

REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fee is 3000 Rubles (1500 Rubles for students and PhD students)
or 80 Euros (40 Euros for students). Details about the payment methods will

ACCOMODATION
Details about the accommodation will be given later.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
If you are not a Russian citizen and you travel from abroad, you have to get
a visa at the nearest Russian embassy. All the necessary documents and other
details of the visa application will be sent you after the acceptance
notification.

Irkutsk is located in the center of Eastern Siberia in about 5000 kilometers
from Moscow. It can be easily reached by airplanes or trains. The main airlines
companies which operate in Irkutsk airport are: www.aeroflot.ru, www.s7.ru,
www.utair.com. During the summer the direct flight to Munich is expected.
Listvyanka is located in about 66 kilometers from Irkutsk. It is well
connected with Irkutsk by buses. The transfer to/from Listvyanka will be organized
on the first/last day of the conference.

A submission must be typeset with LaTeX using the Springer-Verlag Lecture
Notes style. Its length must be no more than ten pages. A clearly marked
appendix may be added, but it will be read at the discretion of PC.

published proceedings.

PROCEEDINGS

The conference proceedings will be published as a volume in Lecture Notes
