[DMANET] Post-Doctoral Position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics

HEC Management School University of Liege (HEC-ULg) invites applications
for a post-doctoral position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

The appointment will be for one calendar year, starting on January 1,
2011, or on a date to be agreed.

Prerequisites for qualification are a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management,
in Logistics, in Operations Research, or in a related field. The candidate
should demonstrate excellent potential for academic research. The School
is especially interested in candidates with an interest in the areas of
production planning and scheduling, design and coordination of
distribution networks, transportation planning, vehicle routing,
closed-loop and green logistics. A strong background in operations
research and optimization is an asset.

The successful candidate will be a member of the research center QuantOM
(Quantitative methods and Operations Management). QuantOM results from
the association of several faculty members and researchers under a common
label to stimulate and promote research conducted at HEC-ULg, and more
broadly, within the University of Liege, in the fields of quantitative
methods (including operations research, mathematical programming, and
statistics), operations management, and logistics.

HEC-ULg, one of the leading Belgian management schools for graduate and
postgraduate programs, has 60 faculty members and more than 2400
students.
The international vision of HEC-ULg translates into multiple research
activities in management and economics, numerous partnerships with
worldwide companies and universities, and growing internationalization
of its programs and faculty.

HEC-ULg is located in Liege, Belgium's third largest city and the
largest agglomeration of the French-speaking Walloon region, at the
heart of Europe.
Liege boasts a rich cultural and industrial tradition, the third
inland port of Europe and the eighth freight airport in Europe.
Recognized for its quality of life, Liege is ideally situated within
the Meuse-Rhin Euregio, 40 kilometers from Maastricht (the Netherlands)
and 60 kilometers from Aachen (Germany). It is less than 1.5 hours away
from Koeln, 2.5 hours from Paris and 4 hours from London by high-speed
train (TGV).
