We seek a postdoctoral researcher (12 months) in urban logistics and
transport optimization.
This position is part of the research project (ANR - PRCI) "SUD" -
Sustainable Urban Deliveries - of which EM Normandie Business School is the
co-leader.
The SUD project aims to demonstrate that urban deliveries can be made using
carbon-neutral and less harmful modes of transport while remaining
economically viable and meeting the needs of citizens. The project will
address three scientific objectives for the deployment of a sustainable
distribution system in a multi-scale environment: (i) to analyze the
introduction of new means of delivery in the city, (ii) to define fleet
sizes and delivery locations, and (iii) to study route planning in static
and dynamic contexts. This project will be carried out with the Institute
for Transport and Logistics Management, Vienna University of Economics and
Business (Vera Hemmelmayr).
The person recruited will:
Contribute to establishing a state-of-the-art for the project.
Identify needs and analyze and define urban delivery concepts.
Develop optimization algorithms for dynamic and anticipatory delivery
planning.
Evaluate the newly developed methods.
