[DMANET] PhD student position in the Algorithms and Complexity group at University of Cologne

The Algorithms and Complexity research group led by Christian Sohler
in the Computer Science Division
at University of Cologne invites applications for a research fellow
position for candidates working
on areas of algorithms and data structures. The successful applicant
will work towards a
doctorate as part of the position.

YOUR TASKS
» organize practical training for courses, teaching support,
conducting courses (totaling 4 SWS)
» contribute to the general research conducted in the working group
» present and publish research results at conferences and in journals
» provide assistance with scientific self-administration


YOUR PROFILE
» Degree in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related
subject with excellent grades
» extensive knowledge in the field of development and theoretical
analysis of algorithms and data structures, as demonstrated by
corresponding grades or scientific publications
» very good oral and written communication skills in English
» desirable: very good German language skills
» desirable: proficiency in C/C++ or Python

remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public
sector.
