and the 17th Annual Genetic Programming Conference (GP)
Late Breaking Abstracts Workshop
Two-page abstract papers describing late-breaking developments in the
field of genetic and evolutionary computation are being solicited for
presentation at the Late Breaking Abstracts Workshop at the 2012 Genetic
and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO-2012) to be held July 07-11,
2012, in Philadelphia, USA, and inclusion in a CD-ROM to be distributed to
all attendees of the conference and in the ACM Digital Library.
Topics include: genetic algorithms, genetic programming, evolution
strategies, evolutionary programming, real-world applications, learning
classifier systems and other genetics-based machine learning, evolvable
hardware, artificial life, adaptive behavior, ant colony optimization,
swarm intelligence, biological applications, evolutionary robotics,
coevolution, artificial immune systems, and more.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Submissions close: March 26, 2012
Camera Ready Files Deadline: April 09, 2012
SELECTION PROCESS
Late breaking abstract papers will be briefly examined for relevance and
minimum standards of acceptability, including adherence to formatting
requirements and the two-page limit, but will not be peer reviewed in
detail.
Acceptance decisions will be made as soon as possible after receipt of the
submission, until the 26 March 2012 deadline. Authors of accepted late-
breaking abstracts will individually retain copyright (and all other
rights) to their late breaking abstracts. Accepted late breaking abstracts
with no authors registered by the deadline will not appear in the Late-
Breaking Papers section in the CD-ROM nor the ACM Digital Library.
TUTORIALS & WORKSHOPS
GECCO 2012 offers a rich program including around 30 tutorials and a
large number of workshops.
VENUE
GECCO-2012 will be hosted at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia
