[DMANET] Open position: University Professor (W2) in Mathematical Optimization, Institut für Mathematische Optimierung, Braunschweig

Open Faculty Position (W2) at the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Faculty
Professor of Mathematical Optimization

The Department of Mathematics within the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Faculty invites
applications for a University Professor (W2) for Mathematical Optimization
beginning as soon as possible.

We are seeking after a person who particularly engages her-/himself in the
program "Mathematics in Finance and Industry". Applicants should have
internationally recognized expertise in the field of Discrete Optimization.
Experience in cooperation with business and industry is desirable.

The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the teaching
activities offered by the Department for Mathematics to other departments.
Cooperation with other sciences at the TU and with other Universities are
explicitly welcome.

The formal employment requirements can be found in § 25 of the NHG
(Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz/University Act of Lower Saxony).
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have excellent research
competency from university or industry (habilitation or equivalent
qualification), and provide proof of their teaching experience and ability.
Readiness for interdisciplinary cooperation in research and teaching, in
particular in the scope of the NTH Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule -
regional consortium of Institutes of Technology, is expected of the future
holder of the position.
