[DMANET] New Ideas In FPT Parameterized/Multivariate Algorithmics and Second Creative Mathematical Sciences Communication (CMSC)

***Please distribute to interested colleagues***
The Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMSC), CHENNAI invites you to
TWO back-to-back conferences in December 2014 prior to FST-TCS.
(Note: FST-TCS takes place in New Delhi. December 15–17.)
(1) NEW IDEAS IN FPT PARAMETERIZED/MULTIVARIATE ALGORITHMICS
DATE: December 8, 2014.
Join a one-day workshop on New Ideas in Parameterized/Multivariate
Algorithmics led by Mike Fellows and Saket Saraubh.

(2) SECOND CREATIVE MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES COMMUNICATION (CMSC)
DATE: December 9—12, 2014.
Join researcher scientists, educators and communicators committed to
bringing exploration and discovery into classrooms and to the educated
public. The conference explores new ways of thinking initiated by
COMPUTER SCIENCE UNPLUGGED! and similar efforts. We will investigate new
activities, with computational and both-ways thinking.
The conference will feature keynote talks by researchers and
communicators with original work in popularizing mathematics and
computer science, and sharing of experience by activists with extensive
experience in education and outreach. We are equally interested in how
outreach contributes to serious mathematical sciences research.
Participation in the conference is open to everyone and will be limited
only by logistical constraints.
