Assistant Professor of Data Interoperability in Computer Science
The Computer Science Department at the University of Idaho seeks a full-time, tenure track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing Fall 2016. The areas of interest include data science, analytics, mining and management, large data integration, knowledge representation, semantic web and/or databases that are broadly identified as "data interoperability."
The successful candidate will have an earned PhD in Computer Science or a closely related area with a research emphasis as described above and will successfully contribute to campus-wide data integration and interoperability capacity. Significant startup funding and research support will be extended to help the new appointee establish a successful career and develop an externally funded research program.
Existing research centers of excellence include the Institute for Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Studies, National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology, Center for Secure and Dependable Systems, Center for Modeling Complex Interactions and the Northwest Knowledge Network.
