The IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence in
Bioinformatics and Computational Biology 2017 (IEEE CIBCB 2017) will be
held in Manchester, UK, 23-25 August 2017. IEEE CIBCB has become a major
technical event in the field of Computational Intelligence and its
application to problems in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology,
chemical informatics, bioengineering and related fields.

The conference provides a global forum for academic and industrial
scientists from a range of fields including computer science, biology,
chemistry, medicine, mathematics, statistics, and engineering, to discuss
and present their latest research findings from theory to applications.

The conference will consist of three days of technical presentations, a
poster session combined with brief but punchy poster snapshot
presentations, and tutorials. We will also have three invited talks,
by Charlotte
Deane from University of Oxford, Douglas Kell from the Manchester Institute
of Biotechnology, and Julia Handl from the University of Manchester. The
conference dinner will be held at the beautiful Manchester Museum on the 24
th of August.
