Second call for participation to the joint event "AIRO PhD School and 5th A=
IROYoung Workshop 2021", on =ABOptimization and Data Science: Trends and Ap=
plications=BB=20

We invite all AIRO Young members, PhD students in Operations Research and r=
elated topics, early-stage Researchers (PhD degree ? 5 years old) or anyone=
with a strong interest in OR (? 35 years old) to attend this joint event a=
nd to submit abstracts in the field of " Optimization and Data Science: Tre=
nds and Applications" to be presented during the Workshop.=20

DEADLINES
- 22nd January: registration and abstract submission
- 25th January: abstract acceptance notification
- 4th February: registration without abstract submission

The event will take place in blended form.=20

The physical venue is the Conference Room of Accademia di Scienze Fisiche e=
Matematiche in Naples (Italy) (http://www.societanazionalescienzeletterear=
ti.it/), where attending participants, lecturers and speakers could meet. T=
he presence of the lecturers at the physical venue will be confirmed later,=
depending on the evolution of the pandemic situation and on the restrictio=
ns about the movements among states and regions.

The virtual venue will be held in Zoom communication platform with the supp=
ort of Springer.=20
Live presentations and/or recorded ones will be possible.

Each participant attending the PhD school and the Workshop will receive an =
Attendance Certificate. The PhD School certificate is valid for the ECTS.=
=20

REGISTRATION
The registration to the joint event is free. No fee has to be paid. Partici=
pants can attend a single event (PhD School or Workshop) or both the events=
. Registration should be made within February 4th, 2021.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The participants who want to present a contribution to the 5th AIRO Young W=
orkshop have to submit the abstract at the moment of the registration.
Abstract submission should be made within January 22nd, 2021.
The authors will receive a notification of acceptance by January 25th, 2021=
.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Participants can submit a short paper of 8-10 pages through the Springer On=
line Conference Service using Latex/Word templates available on the joint e=
vent website.

The short papers will undergo a review process by anonymous referees.
Short paper submission should be made within March 31st, 2021.
The authors will receive a notification of acceptance by May 31st, 2021.

PROCEEDINGS of the accepted short papers will be published in a Special Vo=
lume of the AIRO Springer Series (http://www.springer.com/series/15947), wh=
ich will be indexed in main scientific databases.=20

PRIZES
We decided to awards the best three presentations and the best three short =
papers. More details can be found on the website.=20
