[DMANET] PhD positions in Algorithmics / Algorithmic Bioinformatics

The Research Group Algorithmic Bioinformatics of the Institute for
Informatics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet Muenchen offers several
PhD positions in the area of

ALGORITHMICS and ALGORITHMIC BIOINFORMATICS

Our research focuses in design and analysis of efficient algorithms for
discrete and combinatorial problems in Bioinformatics.

Applicants for these positions need to have the equivalent of the German
University Diploma (e.g., M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or
Mathematics. Candidates are expected to have in-depth knowledge in
Computer Science, in particular in algorithmics, and should have basic
knowledge in Molecular Biology. Due to teaching obligations, profound
knowledge of the German language is helpful/required.

One position is a fixed term positions for a period of 3 years. For
this position profound knowledge of the German language is required. The
salary rate is according to the federal salary scale on the TV-L E13
