The International Conference and Workshop on Algorithms and Computation
(WALCOM) provides an international forum for researchers working in the
areas of algorithms and computation. WALCOM 2026 will be held from March
4th to March 6th, 2026, in Perugia, Italy.

Submission Guidelines
---------------------

Authors are invited to submit papers describing original research of
theoretical or practical significance to algorithms and computation.
Papers should not exceed 14 pages (including references but excluding
the optional appendix) in LNCS style. If the authors feel that more
details are essential to substantiate the main claim of the paper, they
may include a clearly marked appendix that will be read at the
discretion of the Program Committee. The LNCS style file can be
downloaded from the LNCS conference proceedings website.

Papers submitted for review should represent original, previously
unpublished work or surveys of important results. At the time the paper
is submitted to WALCOM 2026, and for the entire review period, the paper
(or essentially the same paper) should not be under review by any other
conference with published proceedings or by a scientific journal.

At least one author of each accepted paper will be expected to attend
the conference and present the paper onsite.

process according to the usual editorial standards of the journals.

DLT4SEC, the international workshop on DLT for Cybersecurity and Vice
Versa, is a dedicated forum for researchers and professionals exploring
the critical intersection of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and
Cybersecurity. The workshop brings together experts to present

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

GENERAL INFORMATION

* Review Process: All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer
review by the Program Committee. Authors' names and affiliations should
be included in the manuscript.
* Formatting: All submissions must follow the IEEE two-column format
for conference proceedings.
* Presentation and Publication: Accepted Research Papers and Demo
Papers will be published in a supplementary volume of the SRDS
conference proceedings and will be available via the IEEE Digital
Library (IEEE Xplore). Extended Abstracts will not be included in the
official proceedings. At least one author of each accepted paper or
abstract must register and present their work at the workshop.
* Registration: Presentation of a Research or Demo Paper requires a
full registration for the SRDS main conference, whereas a
student/workshop registration is required for an extended abstract.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

The DLT4SEC Workshop welcomes four types of contributions:

* Research Paper

* Purpose: To present original, unpublished research with substantial
new results. Submissions must not be under review elsewhere.
* Length: Up to 6 pages, including references.

* Demo Paper

* Purpose: To present an original prototype, system, or tool. The
paper must describe the problem, the system's novelty and architecture,
and what will be demonstrated. Submissions must be original work.
* Length: Up to 6 pages, including references.

* Research Extended Abstract

* Purpose: To foster discussion on recent or ongoing work. This can
include summarizing a recently published paper or presenting preliminary
results from ongoing research.
* Length: Up to 2 pages, including references.

* Demo Extended Abstract

* Purpose: To describe a demonstration of a prototype, system, or
tool. This can be for a demo that was recently presented elsewhere or
for a new system. The abstract must outline the demo's relevance and key
features.
* Length: Up to 2 pages, including references.

Since the first successful edition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2017), and

CSNet conference has aimed to bring future visions for creating even
greater value to all corners of the cybersecurity research society.

This year, CSNet 2025 will center around the "GenAI and Cybersecurity"
theme, encompassing both AI for Cybersecurity and Cybersecurity for AI. The
theme highlights the challenges and opportunities of AI in reinforcing
security and privacy within traditional cybersecurity domains such as cloud
computing and cryptography. The integration of GenAI into cybersecurity
represents a pivotal advancement with the potential to revolutionize how we
protect and secure digital infrastructure.

AI has shown remarkable capabilities in automating and enhancing various
aspects of cybersecurity. From predictive analytics that anticipate cyber
threats to intelligent systems that detect and mitigate attacks in real
time, AI-driven solutions are becoming indispensable. These technologies
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security measures and adapt to
the evolving threat landscape, providing robust defense mechanisms against

Like any other tool or system, AI introduces its own security threats,

Combining researchers and industry professionals at CSNet 2025 allows to

Tradition

SOFSEM is an annual winter conference devoted to the theory and
practice of computer science. The conference traditionally focuses on
the latest results and developments of fundamental research in
computer science (informatics), inspired by the algorithmic challenges
of our time. SOFSEM has a long tradition as a high-quality research
conference, and a venue where researchers from academia and industry
in all stages of their career can share their insights.

Proceedings and Awards

The proceedings will be published in the subseries ARCoSS (Advanced
Research in Computing and Software Science) of the Lecture Notes in
Computer Science (LNCS) series of Springer. The Program Committee of
SOFSEM 2026 will bestow a Best Paper Award and a Best Student Paper

Submission Guidelines

Papers must be submitted electronically through EasyChair.
Submissions should be prepared in accordance with Springer's
Instructions for Authors of LNCS Proceedings, and use either the LaTeX
or the Word templates provided on the publisher's website. The length
must not exceed 12 pages (excluding references).

We are seeking to fill three tenure-track faculty positions at the Escuela
de Ingeniería Informática at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso
(PUCV), Valparaíso, Chile. Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Sciences
(or related fields) or have defended their doctoral thesis by October 1st,
2025. Preferred research areas include, but are not limited to:

We seek dynamic colleagues who will make positive contributions to the
Department's teaching, research, and service efforts. Candidates with

AWARDS
---------------
Awards will be given to the best regular paper and the best student
regular paper. A regular paper is eligible for the best student paper
award if at least one of the authors is a full-time student (Bachelor,
Master, or Ph.D.) at the time of submission and the student(s) must have
made a major contribution to the paper. The TPC can decide to decline or
to split the awards. Awards are sponsored by Springer.

[DMANET] Guest Lecturer 15% U. Antwerpen Mathematics.

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Antwerp is seeking a guest lecturer for a temporary teaching assignment during the 2025–2026 academic year.

This is a 15% appointment, running from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. The position involves temporarily replacing instruction in several course units, amounting to a total of 9 ECTS credits. Some of the course content is predetermined, while one course unit offers flexibility to align with the candidate's research expertise.

The assignment includes the following courses:

Applied Linear Algebra (3 ECTS, Bachelor Year 1): a service course for students in Chemistry and Biochemistry during the first semester. You will deliver six 2-hour theory lectures to a large student group. Course materials are available.

The 21st Doctoral Consortium (DC) on Logic Programming provides students
with the opportunity to present and discuss their research directions, and

## AUDIENCE

The DC is designed for students currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program,

DC. Applicants are expected to conduct research in areas related to logic
and constraint programming; topics of interest include (but are not limited

Submissions by students who have presented their work at previous ICLP DC
editions are allowed, but should occur only if there are substantial
changes or improvements to the student's work. The DC offers participants a
convenient, more informal way to interact with established researchers and
fellow students, through presentations, question-answer sessions, panel
discussions, and invited presentations. The Doctoral Consortium will also
provide the possibility to reflect - through short activities, information
sessions, and discussions - on the process and lessons of research and life
in academia. Each participant will give a short, critiqued, research
presentation.

## DISCUSSANTS

Renowned experts and researchers in the fields of logic and constraint
programming will join in evaluating submissions and will participate in the
DC, providing valuable feedback to DC participants.

## GOALS

- To provide doctoral students working in the fields of logic and
constraint programming with a friendly and open forum to present their
research ideas, listen to ongoing work from peer students, and receive
constructive feedback.

- To provide students with relevant information about important issues for
doctoral candidates and future academics.

- To support a new generation of researchers with information and advice on
academic, research, industrial, and non-traditional career paths.

## SUBMISSION DETAILS

The DC is designed for students currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program,
however Master's students who are actively involved in research (please see
the list of topics below) can also participate in the DC program.

Applicants are expected to conduct research in areas related to logic and

- Implementation: Virtual machines, Compilation, Memory management,
Parallel/distributed execution, Constraint handling rules, Tabling, Foreign
interfaces, User interfaces.

- Related Paradigms and Synergies: Inductive and Co-inductive Logic
Programming, Constraint Logic Programming, Answer Set Programming,
Interaction with SAT, SMT and CSP solvers, Logic programming techniques for
type inference and theorem proving, Argumentation, Probabilistic Logic
Programming, Neurosymbolic approaches, Relations to object-oriented and
Functional programming.

- Applications: Databases, Big Data, Data integration and federation,
Software engineering, Natural language processing, Web and Semantic Web,
Agents, Artificial intelligence, Computational life sciences, Education,
Cybersecurity, and Robotics.

Submissions of the research summary must be made in EPTCS format (
http://info.eptcs.org/) and submitted via EasyChair. All papers must be
written in English and should be between 5 and 10 pages. For all accepted
DC papers, the student is required to attend the DC program and give a
presentation during the DC. A program committee consisting of experts in
various areas related to logic and constraint programming reviews the
submissions. Papers are reviewed by at least two, and usually three,
referees.

The submission package should consist of the research summary in the format
mentioned above, a short vita or cover letter of the applicant, a letter of
recommendation from applicant's faculty advisor, and one paragraph
statement outlining how the school will benefit the applicant. All material
is to be submitted electronically, in PDF format on the Easychair system.

## REVIEW CRITERIA

The DC program committee will select participants based on their
anticipated contribution to the DC objectives. Participants typically have
settled on their thesis directions and have their research proposal
accepted by their thesis committee. Students will be selected based on
clarity and completeness of their submission package, relevance of their
research area w.r.t. the focus of ICLP, stage of research, recommendation
letter, and evidence of promise towards a successful career in research and
academia, such as published papers or technical reports.

*Evaluation Criteria*

Applications will be evaluated based on:

* Whether the student is an author of a paper accepted at any ICLP-related
event
* The submission timestamp
* Whether the applicant is a member of AIxIA or GULP Associations
* The personal preference for a specific grant

Under no circumstances can a grant be awarded to an applicant who is not
enrolled in a recognized study program (Master's level – ISCED Level 7 or
PhD level – ISCED Level 8 or equivalent), or who is unable to provide valid
proof of student status. The committee will maximise student participation
given the available funds. If the NSF-sponsored grant becomes available, it
will be allocated to eligible students based in the United States.

[DMANET] Third CfP: London Stringology Days & London Algorithmic Workshop Special Issue in Theoretical Computer Science

Dear friends and colleagues of LSD/LAW workshops,

We thank you for your interest and participation in this series of workshops held at King's College London since 1993. The 2025 edition was held in honour of Professor Costas Iliopoulos, known in the community simply as Costas, who initiated these workshops in the heart of London, thus creating an academic hub in the field. It was wonderful to see such a collegiate scientific gathering at this 2025 event.

We warmly invite you to submit your LSD/LAW related research contributions to a Special Issue of Theoretical Computer Science.

The theme of the special issue is strings, graphs, and applications. The scope of the special issue encompasses both theory and applications: stringology, graph theory, combinatorics on words, data patterns & analysis, algorithms and data structures, bioinformatics, musicology, information retrieval, algorithm engineering & implementation.

We invite original previously unpublished research contributions to the special issue from:

* Participants of LSD/LAW workshops held 2019-2025 where participants include: presenters, attendees, committee members, and organisers. (Please contact the editors if you want to discuss a potential submission related to an earlier workshop.)

* Past collaborators of Costas where the topic of the submission fits the theme/scope of the special issue. Note these submissions may include posthumous publication with Costas.

* Survey papers that are clearly focussed on the theme/scope of the special issue with substantial content (guideline at least 20 PDF pages).

* Full versions of conference papers on the theme/scope of the special issue which include additional novel content (guideline 30%). In this case please concatenate the conference paper(s) for the convenience of the reviewers (format: journal submission appears first before the conference paper(s)).
