The Department of Computer Science and the Centre for Discrete Mathematics
and its Applications (DIMAP) at the University of Warwick invite
applications
for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level
beginning September/October 2011.

Outstanding candidates in Theoretical Computer Science, Algorithms and
Complexity, and Discrete Mathematics and its Applications will be
considered.
In addition, the department will also consider exceptional candidates
in other related areas; candidates with a multi-disciplinary focus are
encouraged to apply.

This is a permanent position (subject to the University's normal
arrangements
for probation) based in the Department of Computer Science.
All applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science,
or a closely related discipline, be committed to excellence in teaching,
and
have demonstrated potential for excellence in research.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in computer
science,
conduct research in her/his field of expertise and actively participate
in other Computer Science Department, DIMAP, and university activities.
