PhD Position in Operations Research at Maastricht University

The Operations Research Group at Maastricht University is seeking
applications for 3-year PhD positions.
The OR group is part of the School of Business and Economics and
currently has six faculty members
who conduct research in the areas of:
* Algorithmic Game Theory,
* Mechanism Design,
* Scheduling,
* Combinatorial Optimization, and
* Approximation and Online Algorithms.

We encourage candidates with a MSc in Mathematics, Computer Science or
Operations Research
and a strong background in Discrete Optimization, Theoretical Computer
Science, or Algorithmic
Game Theory to apply.

The positions are funded by the Maastricht Research School of
Economics of Technology and Organizations (METEOR).

The deadline to send in applications to METEOR is January, 5th 2012.

PhD students in the Netherlands are full-time employees and get a
three year contract (starting salary EUR2042 according to the Dutch
salary norm).
