directions:

- Interval linear algebra for global optimization, properties of
interval matrices, complexity issues
- Theory and methods for checking fundamental properties of functions
on feasible domains
- Convex underestimators and the corresponding relaxation properties
- Investigation of enclosing objects, relaxation on these objects and
development of contractors

Candidates should have a completed PhD in Mathematics or Computer
Science, and demonstrate potential for excellence in research. It is
expected to have strong background in optimization. Skills in operations
research, interval computation and programming are appreciated as well.
