[DMANET] PhD or postdoc position on computational optimization

A PhD or postdoc position is available in the research group of Prof.
Martin Bichler (http://dss.in.tum.de) at the Technical University of
Munich, Germany.

We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in computational
optimization (bilevel integer programming, mixed integer programming,
duality theory, complexity theory). The candidate shall work on the
development of solvers for bilevel integer programs and on complexity
analysis. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Programming
skills are desirable.

The position is for 2 years with the possibility of extension. There is
sufficient travel money available to support conference and workshop
attendance as well as research visits to other groups internationally.

The starting date is negotiable; we are interested in filling the
position as soon as possible. The position is full-time and paid
according to salary grade 100% TV-L E 13 (the standard rate for junior
scientific staff at German universities; salary depends on experience
and amounts to at least 2300 Euro net per month).

Please submit your electronic application as a single PDF file and
include the reference "Application computational optimization" in the
subject line.

For full consideration, apply no later than 20.02.2020 to Martin Bichler
(bichler@in.tum.de).
