Two positions, one for a PhD student and one for a postdoc, are
available in the project "Distributed Algorithms for Fundamental Graph
Problems (DiAloG)" led by Assistant Professor Sebastian Forster
(https://www.cs.sbg.ac.at/~forster) from the Efficient Algorithms Group
at the University of Salzburg, Austria. The main goal in this project is
to design new algorithms with theoretical guarantees for fundamental
graph problems, like maximum flow and shortest paths, in distributed
models of computation such as the CONGEST model.

PHD POSITION:
* The position has a duration of three years with the possibility of
extension by another year.
* A strong interest in theory/algorithms/math is required.
* The start date is negotiable.
* Salary according to the funding scheme of the Austrian Science Fund
(FWF): 30000 EUR gross/year for 30 hours/week
* Application deadline: To receive full consideration, please send your
application by June 14, 2020.

If you are interested in this position, please send your CV, a short
