[DMANET] QUASAR 2024: Workshop on QUAntum Search And information Retrieval

Please distribute as appropriate, and excuse if you receive multiple copies.

QUASAR 2024 - CALL FOR PAPERS

The Workshop on QUAntum Search And information Retrieval (QUASAR) (https://www.dmi.unict.it/quasar) aims to explore and advance the field of quantum information retrieval. The workshop focuses on leveraging quantum computing principles and algorithms to enhance search and retrieval processes. The QUASAR workshop serves as a platform for researchers, experts, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas, discuss advancements, and collaborate on the development of quantum algorithms and technologies in the context of information retrieval.

QUASAR'24 is colocated with the ACM International Symposium on High-Performance and Distributed Computing<https://www.hpdc.org/2024/> (HDPC) 2024, the premier annual conference for presenting the latest research on the design, implementation, evaluation, and use of parallel and distributed systems for high-end computing. The HDPC workshops will take place on June 3/4 2024 (QUASAR will be scheduled for either these days) at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa, Largo Bruno Pontecorvo 3, Pisa (Italy). The proceedings of QUASAR will be published by the ACM in dedicated proceedings.

We invite you to contribute to and advertise the QUASAR workshop. Contributions from early-career researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students are particularly welcome.

The Quantum Search and Information Retrieval Workshop aims to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to discuss and exchange insights on the advancements, challenges, and emerging trends in quantum information retrieval and search algorithms.

The primary topics of this workshop include:

* Exploring Quantum Search Algorithms: Presenting and examining novel quantum search algorithms aimed at improving search efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in various domains.
* Information Retrieval Techniques: Investigating cutting-edge information retrieval methodologies leveraging quantum computing paradigms for enhanced data indexing, retrieval, and analysis.
* Applications and Implementations: Showcasing real-world applications of quantum search and information retrieval techniques across diverse fields such as machine learning, data science, cryptography, and artificial intelligence.
* Theoretical and Practical Discussions: Facilitating discussions on theoretical foundations, practical implications, and potential advancements in quantum search and information retrieval.
* Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration among quantum computing experts, information retrieval specialists, and researchers exploring novel approaches in this field.

The workshop invites submissions of research papers, case studies, and presentations addressing these objectives, aiming to foster an interactive environment conducive to knowledge sharing and collaboration in the quantum information retrieval domain.
