[DMANET] PhD Position (100 %) in Discrete Mathematics & AI at UTN (Nuremberg, Germany)

The Applied Discrete Mathematics Lab (Prof. Christoph Hertrich) at the
University of Technology Nuremberg is currently offering an opening for
a doctoral research opportunity (3 years, 100%, TVL-13), as part of the
interdisciplinary project "FoMoMath: Collaborative Foundation Models for
Mathematics". We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual
to join our dynamic and international research team. You will contribute
to developing AI systems that can effectively collaborate with
mathematicians, and apply these and other AI tools to advance research
in discrete geometry, optimization, and related areas. The ideal
candidate has a solid mathematical background with a strong interest in
discrete mathematics and is eager to use and further develop AI tools,
including large language models, reinforcement learning, and related
approaches. You will be primarily supervised by Prof. Christoph Hertrich
(Applied Discrete Mathematics Lab), with co-supervision from Prof. Yuki
Asano (Fundamental AI) and Prof. Steffen Eger (Natural Language Learning
and Generation), ensuring deep interdisciplinary collaboration.

All details about this opening (for candidates with strong mathematical
background) can be found here:
