A PhD position is open at the Chair of Algorithmic and Structural Graph Theory at TU Dresden, Germany, with a flexible starting date in 2026. The position is full-time (100%, E13 TV-L) and initially offered for three years with possible extension. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in theoretical computer science (in particular, algorithm design). The successful applicant will take part in the research and teaching activities at the Chair of Algorithmic and Structural Graph Theory within the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at TUD. The main research area is the design and analysis of graph algorithms, with a focus on parameterized algorithms, structural graph theory, graph symmetries and similarities, and algorithmic model theory.
