[DMANET] FLLM2025 (Co-Sponsored by IEEE): The 3rd International Conference on Foundation and Large Language Models, 25-28 November, 2025 | Vienna, Austria

[Apologies if you got multiple copies of this invitation]

The 3rd International Conference on Foundation and Large Language Models
(FLLM2025)

25-28 November, 2025 | Vienna, Austria

Hybrid Conference and Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Austrian Section

*FLLM 2025 CFP:*

With the emergence of foundation models (FMs) and Large Language Models
(LLMs) that are trained on large amounts of data at scale and adaptable to
a wide range of downstream applications, Artificial intelligence is
experiencing a paradigm revolution. BERT, T5, ChatGPT, GPT-4, Falcon 180B,
Codex, DALL-E, Whisper, and CLIP are now the foundation for new
applications ranging from computer vision to protein sequence study and
from speech recognition to coding. Earlier models had a reputation of
starting from scratch with each new challenge. The capacity to experiment
with, examine, and comprehend the capabilities and potentials of
next-generation FMs is critical to undertaking this research and guiding
its path. Nevertheless, these models are currently inaccessible as the
resources required to train these models are highly concentrated in
industry, and even the assets (data, code) required to replicate their
training are frequently not released due to their demand in the real-time
industry. At the moment, mostly large tech companies such as OpenAI,
Google, Facebook, and Baidu can afford to construct FMs and LLMS. Despite
the expected widely publicized use of FMs and LLMS, we still lack a
comprehensive knowledge of how they operate, why they underperform, and
what they are even capable of because of their emerging global qualities.
To deal with these problems, we believe that much critical research on FMs
and LLMS would necessitate extensive multidisciplinary collaboration, given
their essentially social and technical structure.

The International Conference on Foundation and Large Language Models (FLLM)
addresses the architectures, applications, challenges, approaches, and
future directions. We invite the submission of original papers on all

Papers describing applications are also encouraged, but the focus should be on principled lessons learned from the development of the application. Traditionally, the Symposium attracts participants from a variety of disciplines, thereby providing a unique forum for scientific exchange. The three-day Symposium includes invited speakers, presentations of technical papers, and special topic sessions.

SPECIAL TOPIC SESSIONS (ALREADY CONFIRMED):

o Cooperation, Competition, and Complexity in AI Planning and Learning
-Organized by Alan Kuhnle and Guni Sharon, Texas A&M University

CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS:

Proposals for additional Special Sessions are welcome. Please send a 1-2 page description and expected participants to Martin Golumbic golumbic@gmail.com<mailto:golumbic@gmail.com> by October 31, 2025.

PAPER SUBMISSION:

Paper submission will be electronic via the submission link to OpenReview on the Paper Submission page of the Symposium website (https://isaim2026.cs.ou.edu/). Papers must be formatted in accordance with the guidelines given there.

The submission deadline is Monday, October 13, 2025 (11:59PM PDT). Papers will be reviewed by members of the Program Committee. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Final versions of accepted papers, for inclusion in the conference electronic proceedings, are due by Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Work that will have been published as of January 2026 should not be submitted to ISAIM unless it introduces a significant addition to the previously published work. However, the ISAIM web site proceedings are not archival, so papers submitted to ISAIM can be under review at the time of submission and can be submitted elsewhere after ISAIM.

Authors of a selected set of papers from the Symposium will be invited to submit full versions of their papers for inclusion in a special volume of the Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, published by Springer. Those invited submissions will be subject to refereeing at the usual standards of the journal, and authors will receive more details with the acceptance notice. Papers must of course be new and unpublished to be considered for the special volume.

[DMANET] Postdoctoral Fellowship at DCU

The Irish Research Council is expected to open applications to its
postdoctoral fellowship programme soon. These fellowships will last one
or two years starting in September 2026. Applicants have to write their
own research proposal and name an academic mentor at the Irish
institution they would be based at. For more information about the
fellowships see here for last year's call:
https://research.ie/funding/goipd/?f=postdoctoral.

Natalie Behague is joining Dublin City University as an Assistant
Professor in January, and is interested in acting as a mentor for one or
possibly two postdoctoral fellows through this scheme. Natalie works in
extremal or probabilistic combinatorics and more information can be
found on her website https://nb453.user.srcf.net. If you work in
extremal or probabilistic combinatorics and are interested in applying
for a fellowship based at DCU with Natalie as mentor, please email a CV
and a research proposal to natalie.behague@warwick.ac.uk by 29th August.
At this stage the research proposal does not need to be in the format of
the final application, nor in as much detail, but it should address the
following points:

- Please provide details of your proposed research, to include aims,
objectives and central research questions;

- Please describe the research design and methodologies that will be
used as part of your research project. These should be described in
sufficient detail so as to demonstrate your understanding of the
research topic;

- Please provide a schedule to include (a) milestones and deliverables
for completion of the proposed fellowship, (b) risks that might endanger
achieving these deliverables and (c) the contingency plans to be put in
place in order to mitigate these risks;

- Please describe how the proposal relates to existing research in this
area. Suggest how the project will make a new contribution to knowledge.
