Department of Mathematics, Algorithmic and Discrete Mathematics
At the Department of Mathematics of Technische Universität Chemnitz
two PhD positions are available in the Algorithmic and Discrete
Mathematics group starting on 1.10.2011 at the level
Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter/Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin
(each 50%, Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L)
for three years until 30.09.2014 within usual regulations

Applicants should have a diploma or master's degree in mathematics
or a related area, have an interest in the field of discrete/convex
optimization and will be given the possibility to work towards
a dissertation in this field. They are also expected to participate
in the teaching duties of the department, therefore fluency in German is
a prerequisite.
