The Centre for Unified Computing, University College Cork is seeking a
suitable postdoctoral fellow to conduct advanced research as part of
the Exascale Systems group in IBM's Dublin Research Lab. The selected
candidate will develop techniques for partitioning streaming task
graphs, in the context of a reconfigurable network topology.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in a relevant area, and
have a proven track record in parallel/distributed computing and/or
algorithm engineering. He/She should be familiar with the literature
on related topics including: graph partitioning heuristics and
algorithms, flow and matching problems, parallel graph algorithms,
load balancing, fault tolerance and scheduling. He/She should have a
working knowledge of computer architecture, including newer
architecture trends such as GPUs and optical network switches. The
applicant is also expected to have good communication skills in
English and strong programming skills in C/C++. He/She should show
potential for managing a research programme -- setting the agenda and
