[DMANET] Full Professorship Technology Management

With 17,500 students, 1,000 scientists and 600 employees, the University
of Siegen is an innovative institution with special focus on
interdisciplinary orientation. Offering a broad variety of departments,
ranging from liberal arts to social and economic sciences as well as
natural sciences and engineering, we provide an excellent teaching and
research environment with a wide range of transdisciplinary

tender call for "Quality of Academic Teaching".

In the context of this project, our School of Economic Disciplines is
inviting applications for the following position vacant at the earliest
possible date:

*Full Professorship (W 3)*

*with special focus on Business Administration (Technology Management)*

The future position holder shall represent the above-mentioned
specialties in the field of research and teaching and shall act as a
bridge to the engineering sciences with special emphasis on mechanical
and production engineering. Successful candidates are expected to
strengthen our internal research perspectives and to cooperate with our
Siegener Mittelstandsinstitut (SMI) in supporting local small and
medium-sized enterprises to cope with structural changes in industry,
e.g. by providing possible options for future development pathways
and/or trend and scenario analyses. He or she shall be familiar with the
specific characteristics of industrial enterprises such as automobile
manufacturers and mechanical engineering companies and is expected to
cooperate in our different degree programs with special focus on
business administration. Another requirement for employment shall be the
candidates' commitment to our industrial engineering degree program
offered in cooperation with the Mechanical Engineering Department.

In addition to general regulatory requirements, further prerequisites
for employment are a qualified university degree, the ability to work
scientifically, usually demonstrated by high-level scientific
qualification (Ph.D.) and other academic credentials which shall be
exclusively evaluated during the appointment procedure. Moreover,
successful candidates should be experienced in teaching and possess
sustainable didactical competencies. Additional academic qualifications,
e.g. habilitation, junior professorship and/or membership at a
university or non-university research institution as well as other
academic activities, shall be also considered. He or she shalloffer
excellent scientific credentials factored in terms of high-quality peer
reviewed journals publications and/or the exercise of relevant
management functions in the field of industrial research.
