The Algorithms and Complexity group at the Dalle Molle Institute (www.idsia.ch), University of Lugano (Switzerland), invites applications for one postdoc position up to 3 years.
The position is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation
(Project Title: Approximation Algorithms for Machine Scheduling).
We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a strong publication record in top Theoretical Computer Science journals and/or conferences such as STOC, FOCS, SODA, ICALP, ESA etc.
The selected candidate will work together with the current Algorithms and Complexity group at IDSIA (visit http://algo.idsia.ch/) and try to attack some challenging open problems in scheduling theory. No teaching is required, just research.
Annual Postdoc salary: roughly 73,000 CHF (Swiss Francs) per year low taxes.
