[DMANET] Two open positions in Siegen

The new Optimization group at the University of Siegen, Germany offers

Two positions (Postdoc or Phd) for 3 years

The research focus of the group which will be headed by Prof. Rob van
Stee is online algorithms, approximation algorithms, and algorithmic
game theory.

The positions are part-time (75%) with salary according to TV-L 13. The
3-year contract comes with the possibility of an extension. Both
positions come with teaching duties (designing course material, grading
assignments, supervising students).

For a postdoc we expect that the candidate has (or is very close to) a
PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics and has a solid background in
discrete math and algorithms.

The applicant should have knowledge and interest in at least one of the
following fields:

- online algorithms
- approximation algorithms
- algorithmic game theory
- graph algorithms
- combinatorics
