The Department of Quantitative Economics at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE)
is looking for a lecturer or assistant professor in the areas of Operations Research, Operations Management, and/or Business Intelligence.
Job description & qualifications

The applicant will be appointed either as a lecturer or as an assistant professor, depending on qualifications and work experience,
and will contribute to the research and teaching activities of the department in the above areas.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a Ph.D. in a relevant area, who has a strong affinity with teaching.
As the language of instruction is English, your command of English (oral and writing) should be excellent.
Previous experience in working with innovative, interdisciplinary learning approaches and problem-based teaching
methods are highly welcomed. Experience with teaching international classrooms would be preferable.

The desired starting date of the position is September 1st 2017.
The position will initially be for a fixed term (lecturer one year/assistant professor three years).
Depending on performance there is the possibility of an extension (lecturer)
or the change into a tenure-track position (assistant professor).
Salary is competitive, depending on qualifications and work experience, and is based on the collective labour agreement of the Dutch universities (CAO), salary scales 10-12.
