Fully funded PhD Position at Hamburg University of Technology, Germany
We are looking for a PhD candidate to do research in the area of
communication protocols for the Smart Grid (electricity, gas, and
heat). The focus of this research is on applying information and
communication technologies combining the fields architectures for
Smart Grid, low latency communication, sensing and measuring, advanced
control methods, and decision support recognizing the demand for
quality, safety, security, and cost.
The candidate will be working within a group of four PhD students from
different areas such as computer science, electrical engineering and
operations research. We are a highly motivated international team of
researchers situated in the south of Hamburg. We offer ideal working

Requirements:
-- excellent M.S. in computer science, computer engineering, electrical
engineering, mathematics, or related studies
-- strong interest in design, implementation, simulation of
communication protocols
-- skills in creative problem solving
The starting time for this position is September or October 2020.
