AIROYoung (the youth chapter of AIRO, the Italian Operations Research Society - https://www.airoyoung.org<https://www.airoyoung.org/>) organizes a special session during ODS 2021 dedicated to presenting Operations Research to the public.
Each participant will have a slot of 5 minutes to present her/his work in a clear and understandable way to a heterogeneous audience, i.e., researchers but also laypeople. The topic of the pitch talk can be theoretical and/or practical, with references to some applications.
Everybody can apply for this, from young researchers to full professors and practitioners, such as:
- PIs who would like to present a group research project;
- researchers who are interested in science communication.
The session will be held on September 14-17, 2021, at Sapienza University Campus (Rome, Italy), during ODS 2021, the International Conference on Optimization and Decision Science organized by AIRO (Italian Operations Research Society) and DSS - Dept. of Statistical Sciences (Sapienza University of Rome).
