Within the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics (HCM) at the University of Bonn, Professor Anne Driemel is looking to fill one postdoctoral research position (TV-L 13).
The group of Professor Anne Driemel is jointly affiliated with the HCM and with the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Bonn. The research focus lies on discrete and computational geometry and its connections to the theory of machine learning, and in particular on algorithmic problems in metric spaces of curves. The group maintains close collaboration with other algorithms groups at the university, which together form a stimulating and supportive research environment.
The successful candidate has completed a PhD thesis in the area of computational geometry or a related area in computer science or mathematics and has demonstrated independence in conducting research and presenting scientific ideas, supported by publications in international top-tier peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
