[DMANET] PhD Scholarship in Algorithms & Machine Learning, University of Edinburgh

The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, invites
applications to a fully-funded PhD scholarship starting in Fall 2023.
There is no restriction on the nationality of this scholarship holder,
and we in particular welcome applicants outside Europe. The starting
date of this scholarship is September/October 2023.

This advertised PhD scholarship is part of Dr He Sun's project on
developing advanced spectral graph algorithms and their open-source
library, which is an EPSRC's Early Career Fellowship with the total
award of 1.51 million pounds. Our research group, consisting
of 6 researchers (the PI, 3 postdocs, and 2 PhD students), not only
studies foundations of spectral graph theory and their applications in
designing fast algorithms, but also develops STAG, which is the first
C++ open-source library for spectral graph algorithms. We are among
the very few research groups worldwide that work on both theoretical
studies of algorithms and applied ones, aiming at its long-term and
transformative impact of our research. More information about our
group can be found at
https://homepages.inf.ed.ac.uk/hsun4/project.html and

For interested candidates, please send your CV and transcript to
h.sun@ed.ac.uk by *10 April*.
