The aim is to develop mathematical models for describing how trains can be rescheduled in case of major disturbances. The models should be used as a decision support for rescheduling the near future once a major disturbance occurs. You will work in co-operation with the Swedish infrastructure manager Trafikverket and the research program Capacity in the Railway Traffic System (KAJT), and additional organisations associated with the EU project Europe's Rail.
Qualifications
===========
You have graduated at master's level in mathematics or logistics or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses in a similar area. Alternatively, you have gained essentially corresponding knowledge in another way.
Experiences in mathematical optimization are required. Experiences in statistics and rail-traffic planning are meritorious. A preference is given to candidates who have good Swedish knowledge (for communication with project partners).
