and Complexity Department directed by Danupon Nanongkai.
The Algorithms and Complexity Department at the Max Planck Institute for
Informatics invites applications for PhD student positions in algorithms
and complexity theory, as well as related fields. Applications are welcome
through multiple programs, including:
- International Max Planck Research School for Trustworthy Computing
(IMPRS-TRUST)
- CS@Max Planck Doctoral Program
- Maryland Max Planck PhD Program
Candidates may apply through any or all of these programs.
Our department is located on the Saarland University campus in Saarbrücken,
Germany, and offers a collaborative, international research environment
with English as the working language. Team members work closely with
leading researchers across campus, including those in the Department of
Computer Science, CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security, and Max
Planck Institute for Software Systems. We provide robust research support,
including funding for travel to international conferences and for
collaborative research visits.
To apply, please submit a single PDF file via the application web form
available at:
Applications are accepted throughout the year, with selection rounds based
on submissions received by December 31.
