[DMANET] Postdoc in Quantum Computing at LaBRI (France)

A postdoctoral position is available in the Quantum Information and
Computation group (https://quantique.labri.fr) at the CS department of the
University of Bordeaux (France). Applications should be submitted by
*January 15* for full consideration.

We are seeking candidates with an interest in research on quantum
information, quantum algorithms, and complexity theory. Specific topics
they can expect to work on include:
* Quantum Algorithms and Computational Speedups (optimization and Monte
Carlo methods, combinatorial algorithms, distributed algorithms, quantum
walks, quantum simulation)
* Information and Complexity Theory (query complexity, limitations of
near-term quantum computers, simulation of quantum circuits, quantum graphs)
* Quantum Computing and Fundamental Physics (simulation of fermionic
systems, quantum field theory, holographic complexity)

Candidates should have training or experience in at least one of the
following areas: quantum information and computation, algorithmic theory,
or complexity theory.

The recruited candidate is expected to start in Fall 2025 (or earlier). The
position is for a duration of 24 months, with a net income ranging between
2100€ and 2500€, depending on the candidate's experience. The position
includes French social security coverage and employee benefits (health
insurance, public transport expenses, paid leave, etc.). We welcome
applicants from all backgrounds and promote a friendly, safe, and
supportive team environment.

Interested applicants should contact Yassine Hamoudi (
yassine.hamoudi@labri.fr) with the following materials: a CV (including a
list of publications), a brief cover letter or research statement, and the
names and email addresses of one or two referees.
