[DMANET] Save the Date: FRICO2025 during August 4-6, 2025 at RWTH Aachen University, Germany

Dear follow PhD students,

we would like to draw your attention to the 28th edition of the Workshop on Future Research in Combinatorial Optimization (FRICO) which will take place on August 4-6, 2025 at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. More information about FRICO 2025 can be found on our website: frico.rwth-aachen.de.

As usual, FRICO aims to network doctoral students from research areas in and adjacent to combinatorial optimization, including
* Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorics
* Approximation Algorithms
* (Mixed Integer) Linear and Non-Linear Optimization
* Applications of Combinatorial Optimization
* Scheduling
* Randomized Algorithms
* Online Optimization

Every participant will be assigned a slot; either for a 20-minute presentation (excluding 5 minutes for setup and questions), or a 5-minute elevator pitch talk. It is especially encouraged to present ongoing research and open problems. The registration will be open between May 1 and July 30. More information will be announced in due time.

Thanks to our sponsors, FRICO does not have a conference fee. Moreover, our sponsors will provide insights into applied optimization and career prospects during the workshop.

If you are still a doctoral student at the time of the workshop, we hope to see you this year. If you already have your PhD by then, congratulations! In either case, we would really appreciate it if you could forward this message to colleagues who might find it interesting. For more information, you can contact us at frico@rwth-aachen.de.

All the best,
Your FRICO2025 organization team: Felix Engelhardt, Lennart Kauther, Liam Nyssen, Philipp Pabst ,Tim Donkiewicz, Vladimir Stadnichuk
