algorithms is available at the University of Kassel (Institute of
Mathematics). Applicants with a strong background in combinatorics (graph
theory, order theory, discrete geometry), algorithms, discrete optimization
and/or algebra are encouraged to apply. The position is advertised openly,
as we seek either one PhD student or one Postdoc (depending on the strength
of the applicants), to complement our existing research group, which
currently consists of 1 PhD student and 2 Postdocs (
https://www.uni-kassel.de/fb10/institute/mathematik/arbeitsgruppen/algorithmische-algebra-und-diskrete-mathematik/prof-dr-torsten-muetze/team
).
The starting date is August 01, 2025, but somewhat flexible, and the
position is for 3 years, with the possibility of extension by 1 additional
year.
Please reach out informally to Torsten Mütze (
tmuetze@mathematik.uni-kassel.de) to learn more about this opportunity.
