The goal of the project is to support industrial companies with their
long term decisions towards climate neutrality by the development of

The project is interdisciplinary in cooperation with the PTW group from
mechanical engineering and partners from practice. It involves the
development and analysis of new methods in discrete nonlinear
optimization in order to handle the complex systems from practice and
their uncertainties.
Since the project also involves communication with partners from
practice, good knowledge of German is mandatory. Moreover, a very good
degree in Mathematics with background in optimization is required.

Im Projekt
MISTRAL: Methodik für integrierte, standortweite Transformationskonzepte
industrieller Liegenschaften
habe ich ab sofort eine Promotionsstelle zu besetzen (100%, E13,
zunächst für drei Jahre).
In dem Projekt geht es darum Unternehmen die Entscheidungsfindung für
die Umstellung hin zur Klimaneutralität durch den Einsatz von
Optimierungsmethoden zu erleichtern. Das Projekt wird auf der folgenden

Das Projekt ist interdisziplinär, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem PTW Institut
aus dem Maschinenbau und Partnern aus der Industrie. Ziel ist die
Entwicklung und Analyse von neuen Methoden der diskreten nichtlinearen
Optimierung, um die in der Praxis auftretenden koplexen Systeme und
deren Unsicherheiten zu behandeln.
Wenn Sie über Kenntnisse im Bereich Optimierung verfügen, einen sehr
guten Studienabschluss in Mathematik haben und Interesse an einer
interessanten praxisnahen Promotion haben, dann melden Sie sich gerne
