We invite applications for 2 one-year postdoctoral positions in Scientific Machine Learning for Model Discovery at Aarhus University.
The positions are part of the ERC-funded project "ALPS – AI-based Learning for Physical Simulation". The main focus is developing and implementing algorithms that combine computational physics and machine learning for data-driven model discovery, i.e. identifying the governing PDEs of physical systems or closure models from data. The postdoc will work with methods like symbolic regression, neural networks (PINNs, neural operators) and reduced order modeling, and apply them in areas such as robotic control, mechanics of materials and biological systems, and fluid mechanics (i.e. data-driven turbulence modeling).
Application deadline: 31 January 2026 (23:59 CET).
