This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to embed academic knowledge in the areas of data science, machine learning and optimisation, into the innovative software platform of 365 Response Ltd. In particular, the focus is on developing new tools to improve transport flow and resource utilisation across health and care to improve quality of care for service users and efficiency for providers.
The University of Manchester and 365 Response Ltd, are looking to recruit a Research Associate to undertake this KTP project.

The position will provide you with a unique opportunity to lead the transfer of knowledge from the University of Manchester through to the health & care industry, the development of novel algorithms that tackle transportation problems in health & care and their implementation in 365 Response software platform. In addition to your salary, you will have access to a budget of £5,000 for professional development and training.
You will be required to have a recently-obtained 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and a PhD in a subject related to data science, machine learning and/or mathematical optimisation (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Business Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, etc.),

This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.
The position is based at 365 Response Ltd, Unit 6 Benton Office Park, Benton Avenue, Horbury, Wakefield, WF4 5RA, you will work directly with supervisors from both the University and 365 Response Ltd and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations.
