[DMANET] PhD position in Applied Discrete Mathematics at University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN)

The University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN) is currently offering an opening for a fully funded doctoral research opportunity (100% position - TVL E13) as part of the new Applied Discrete Mathematics Lab headed by Christoph Hertrich. Potential research topics range from fundamental research in polyhedral geometry and computational complexity to applications in neural network theory and combinatorial optimization, depending on the candidate's interests. More information can be found on my personal website (https://christophhertrich.gitlab.io/) and in the official advertisement (https://www.utn.de/en/career/opportunities-for-doctoral-researchers/#dis-math). Prospective applicants are welcome to contact me (christoph.hertrich@ulb.be<mailto:christoph.hertrich@ulb.be>) informally before applying. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. To receive full consideration, please apply until 17 November 2024. Applications received after that date might still be considered. Please feel free to forward this announcement to your potentially interested students.
